| Obverse description | Central field bears the papal crossed keys surmounted by a tiara, flanked by additional symbols of pontifical authority, all rendered in a relatively crude, provincial style consistent with emergency coinage of the period. The design is contained within a plain inner circle, with a toothed or reeded border running along the coin's periphery.
