Reverse description Central field bears a three-line Arabic inscription arranged in a stacked, interlaced calligraphic composition. The regnal year '31' (referring to year 31 of the reign, corresponding to AH 1223 regnal reckoning) appears prominently at the top, followed by the mint formula 'Duriba fi Misr' (Minted in Egypt) in the middle, and the accession year '1223' in Arabic numerals at the base. The coin is encircled by a beaded border. The composition reflects standard Ottoman provincial mint practice of the period.
