| Obverse description | The obverse displays a multi-line Arabic calligraphic legend filling the field in an elegant Naskh script, arranged in three registers curving around the central area. The inscription reads the full royal title of King Abd al-Aziz ibn Saud, with the text disposed along the upper, left, and lower portions of the field, leaving the central area open. No portrait or effigy is present, consistent with Islamic numismatic tradition. The design is aniconic, relying entirely on the decorative quality of the calligraphy for its visual impact. |
