Obverse description The obverse is dominated by a bold, multi-line calligraphic inscription in Nasta'liq script, elegantly filling the central field within a plain inner circle and an outer border. The legend reads 'al-Sultan ibn al-Sultan Nasir al-Din Shah Qajar,' proclaiming the royal title and dynastic affiliation of the reigning Qajar monarch. The deeply engraved calligraphy is executed in a flowing, cursive style characteristic of high-quality Qajar mint work, with strokes of varying thickness creating a pronounced relief. Small decorative dot ornaments are visible within the field, framing and separating elements of the inscription. The entire design is enclosed by a raised circular border.
