Obverse description Central field bearing a multi-line Arabic calligraphic legend in bold Nasta'liq script, reading the royal titulature of Naser al-Din Shah Qajar. The inscription is arranged in three sweeping lines within a plain inner circle. A beaded border encircles the entire design, framing the field with a continuous ring of raised dots typical of Qajar minting style.

Obverse lettering السلطان ابن السلطان ناصرالدین شاه قاجار
Reverse description Central field displaying a three-line Nasta'liq inscription within an oval or cartouche-like frame, stating the mint name and the AH date of issue. Small floral rosette ornaments are interspersed between the lines of text, a decorative convention characteristic of Qajar provincial coinage. The legend reads 'Zarb Dar al-Nasra Herat' followed by the AH regnal year. A beaded border surrounds the entire reverse field, consistent with the obverse treatment.
