| Reverse description | The reverse field is fully occupied by a bold multi-line Arabic-script inscription in Naskh style, filling the entire flan surface. The central legend contains the Shahada or a dynastic invocation, with the name of the mint city Herat referenced in the surrounding text. A floral or rosette ornament is visible at the top of the field, a decorative device commonly found on Afghan provincial hammered coinage. The script is deeply struck, with individual letter strokes showing the characteristic irregular relief of hand-engraved dies. The plain, irregular edge and uneven flan confirm production by traditional hammered methods. |
