| Obverse description | Central field dominated by a large, elaborately rendered calligraphic inscription in Nasta'liq script, giving the name and epithet of the Prophet Muhammad (شاهنشه انبیا محمد), executed in bold, interlocking strokes characteristic of Qajar hammered coinage. The legend is enclosed within a decorative cartouche formed by sweeping foliate and floral arabesques, with vegetal scroll motifs filling the surrounding field. The coin's irregular flan, typical of hand-struck production, results in partially visible design elements toward the periphery. The overall aesthetic reflects the highly ornamental calligraphic tradition of Qajar mint artisans. |
