| Obverse description | Central field bears the royal protocol inscription in flowing Nastaliq script arranged in multiple curved lines reading 'Sikkah Fath Ali Shah Qajar Khusraw Sahib-Qiran' — identifying the shah as Caesar and Lord of the Auspicious Conjunction. The legend is framed by a decorative inner border of raised pellet groups and an outer beaded border, characteristic of the Type E protocol introduced during the later Qajar coinage reforms. The overall design is purely epigraphic with no figurative elements, executed in the traditional Islamic hammered style. |
