Obverse description Central field bears the royal protocol inscription in flowing Nastaliq script arranged in multiple curved lines reading 'Sikkah Fath Ali Shah Qajar Khusraw Sahib-Qiran' — identifying the shah as Caesar and Lord of the Auspicious Conjunction. The legend is framed by a decorative inner border of raised pellet groups and an outer beaded border, characteristic of the Type E protocol introduced during the later Qajar coinage reforms. The overall design is purely epigraphic with no figurative elements, executed in the traditional Islamic hammered style.
Obverse script Arabic
Obverse lettering سکه فتحعلی شه خسرو صاحبقران
