| Reverse description | Central field bears a two-line Nasta'liq legend within a horizontal cartouche band, recording the mint name and regnal year. The legend reads 'ضرب دارالعلم شیراز ۱۲۴۵', indicating the coin was struck at the Shiraz mint (known honorifically as Dar al-Ilm, 'Abode of Knowledge') in the Islamic lunar year 1245 AH (1829 CE). The surrounding field is decorated with stylised floral sprays, leaf motifs, and pellet ornaments, consistent with the decorative vocabulary of Qajar provincial minting. The flan shows slight irregularities and weak areas at the periphery, typical of the hand-hammered production of this period. |
