Reverse description The reverse presents the mint and date inscription in bold Nasta'liq calligraphy within a plain inner circle, surrounded by a wide outer border decorated with a continuous vine-and-floral scroll motif composed of raised pellet clusters and stylised blossoms. The central legend reads 'Zarb Dar al-Marz Rasht' (struck at the border-city of Rasht), identifying the issuing mint. The AH date 1241 appears in Eastern Arabic numerals along the lower portion of the inner field. The beaded or pellet outer rim frames the decorative band and lends the piece a refined, formally composed appearance despite its hand-struck production.
