Obverse description Central field occupied by a bold Arabic legend in florid Nasta'liq script, divided horizontally by a ruled line into two registers, the upper bearing the royal name and the lower the regnal title of Fath Ali Shah. The inscription is surrounded by an elaborate foliate and floral arabesque border composed of interlacing vine scrolls, stylized blossoms, and dotted berry clusters rendered in high relief, all contained within a beaded inner rim.
