| Obverse description | The obverse bears a two-line nastaliq inscription filling the circular field, divided horizontally by a raised line. The upper register reads the royal title and name of Fath Ali Shah, while the lower register carries his epithet as Sahib-Qiran (Lord of the Auspicious Conjunction). The calligraphy is executed in a bold, sweeping nastaliq hand characteristic of Qajar hammered coinage, with small floral rosette ornaments scattered throughout the field as decorative devices. A plain inner rim borders the design. |
