Isle of Stroma is an uninhabited island off the northern Scottish coast, depopulated by 1962 when its last residents relocated to the mainland. It issues no legal tender. "Coins" attributed to it are fantasy pieces produced by private mints exploiting the romantic appeal of obscure place names — this one pairing a fictional issuing authority with a cat breed for a collector novelty market.
