Reverse description The reverse is dominated by a large circular vignette centred on the note, enclosing the heraldic coat of arms of the North of Scotland Bank supported by two stags and bearing a motto scroll, all surrounded by an elaborate scalloped guilloche border. A dense ornamental panel of intricate lathe-work guilloche patterns runs vertically along the right margin. The overall colour scheme is deep blue on a pale ochre ground.
