| Obverse description | Central vignette presents the facade of the Provincial Bank of Ireland's Belfast branch rendered in fine intaglio engraving, flanked on either side by circular guilloche medallions bearing the word ONE. The bank title and founding legend appear in letterpress across the upper border, with the promise-to-pay text and denomination ONE POUND set within horizontal ruled panels below the vignette. An elaborate guilloche frame with ornamental corner devices surrounds the entire face. |
