Reverse description A heroic half-figure of an Egyptian soldier in helmet, bare-chested and armed with a rifle slung across his body, rises from stylized waves representing the Suez Canal crossing. A radiant sun appears behind his right shoulder, symbolizing victory. The figure is flanked on both sides by sweeping laurel branches forming a three-quarter wreath that frames the composition. A small mint mark appears at the lower left within the wreath. Along the lower exergue, the commemorative inscription records the date of the October War in both Gregorian and Hijri calendars.
