| Obverse description | An engraved panoramic vignette of Douglas harbour occupies the upper portion of the note, rendered in fine intaglio with sailing vessels and the town's seafront visible against a backdrop of rolling hills. Large red letterpress numerals spelling 'ONE' form a bold underprint across the centre of the note, over which the manuscript promise-to-pay text and denomination 'One Pound' are superimposed in cursive script. Ornate calligraphic '£' monograms appear at the upper left and right corners, with the issuer's name in bold serif type and serial numbers in black flanking the central text. |

| Reverse description | The reverse is printed entirely in blue and centred on a triskelion — the three-legged symbol of the Isle of Man — enclosed within a lobed cartouche and surrounded by a circular guilloche border bearing the Manx motto 'QUOCUNQUE JECERIS STABIT'. Elaborate scrollwork and foliate ornaments radiate outward from the central medallion, flanked by symmetrical acanthus-leaf devices. The issuer's name arches above in a ribbon banner, with 'LIMITED' contained in a separate rectangular cartouche below. |
