| Obverse description | Central field bears the Arabic numeral '١' (one) above the word 'جنيه' (Pound) within a raised circular border, surrounded by a decorative serrated inner ring. The Arabic legend 'جمهورية مصر العربية' (Arab Republic of Egypt) arcs around the upper portion of the coin, with dual date inscriptions in both Hijri (١٤٤٠ هـ) and Gregorian (٢٠١٨ م) calendars flanking the sides. The Latin legend 'ONE POUND' is inscribed along the lower rim in bold raised lettering. The entire design is framed by a finely dentilated outer border. |
