| Obverse description | The obverse is dominated by Arabic inscriptions arranged concentrically and across the field, with no central effigy. At the top, the legend reads 'Arab Republic of Egypt' in Arabic script. Centrally, the large Arabic numeral '١' (1) denotes the denomination, flanked by the Hijri year '١٤٤٠' (1440 AH) to the right and the Gregorian year '٢٠١٩' (2019) to the left.
