| Reverse description | Central high-relief depiction of Una, a robed female figure with flowing hair and billowing cape, standing alongside a powerful lion in a crouching pose, closely adapted from William Wyon's celebrated design on the 1839 British pattern crown. Una is shown guiding the lion with a wand, both figures set upon a rocky ground line against a deeply recessed field. The legend UNA AND THE LION · 1 OZ · 999 AG · arcs around the upper periphery, while the date · 2021 · appears in the lower exergue. The East India Company monogram EIC appears to the lower left within the design field, and the whole is enclosed by the same ornate scroll-motif border as the obverse. |
