Obverse description The fourth definitive effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, as modelled by Ian Rank-Broadley, occupies the central field in right-facing portrait. The Queen is depicted wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara, with naturalistic rendering of her hair and facial features. The engraver's initials IRB appear incuse below the truncation of the neck. The circumferential Latin legend reads ELIZABETH II D G REG F D, interrupted by the date at lower right, all contained within a beaded border.
