Reverse description The reverse presents a selectively gold-plated figure of an angel in classical robes, wings fully spread, bending forward to place a laurel wreath upon a heraldic shield bearing the letter 'N', a reference to Napoleon Bonaparte. The central angelic motif is rendered in frosted gilt relief and set within a polished silver ring, creating a striking contrast between the two metallic finishes. Flanking the lower border of the inner ring are two sprays of laurel leaves in silver, while two small Napoleonic bees appear symmetrically in the upper field to either side of the angel. The legend 'ANGEL' is inscribed across the upper portion of the outer ring in raised letters, and the mint mark or privy mark of the issuer appears at the base of the inner ring.
