Obverse description Fifth definitive effigy of Queen Elizabeth II facing right, depicting a mature crowned bust wearing the George IV State Diadem with jewelled band, designed by Jody Clark. The portrait is rendered in high relief with fine detail on the diadem and collar. The sovereign's title and denomination appear as a continuous legend encircling the effigy within a beaded border, with the designer's initials J.C. incuse below the truncation.

Additional information

Issued as the third entry in the Royal Mint's James Bond series, this 2020 piece appeared ahead of the delayed release of *No Time to Die* — a film whose theatrical launch was postponed three times due to the COVID-19 pandemic, ultimately reaching screens in late 2021. The series was timed to coincide with what would have been a straightforward 2020 release, leaving this coin in the unusual position of commemorating a film the public had not yet seen.
