Obverse description The Eagle of Saladin, serving as the national coat of arms of the Arab Republic of Egypt, is depicted at the center of the field with wings spread. A circular Arabic legend surrounds the eagle, reading the country name at the top and the denomination 'One Pound' in the middle register. The Hijri date 1445 H appears to the right and the Gregorian date 2023 to the left, flanking the central device. The legend of the issuing ministry — the Ministry of Youth and Sports — is inscribed along the lower arc in Arabic naskh script.
