| Reverse description | The reverse depicts a stylized representation of the Egyptian Radio and Television Union broadcasting tower at center, comprising a tiered rectangular base with horizontal ribbing supporting a latticed transmission mast surmounted by a circular antenna dish. The commemorative dates ١٩٣٤ (1934) and ١٩٨٤ (1984) appear in Eastern Arabic numerals to the left and right of the tower respectively, marking the fiftieth anniversary of Egyptian radio broadcasting. The entire central design is enclosed within a continuous ornamental chain border of interlocking arabesque links, with a small Arabic character mark at the base of the field. |

| Additional information |
Egyptian state radio launched on May 31, 1934, making this issue a precise half-century commemoration. The Cairo broadcasting station was among the earliest in the Arab world, established under the constitutional monarchy with significant British technical involvement — a diplomatic detail Cairo was not especially eager to foreground by 1984.
