Obverse description Blue ink on pink guilloche underprint covering the central field of the note. The promise-to-pay text is printed in letterpress, with the denomination expressed both in words and as the symbol £1. Serial number carries a fractional prefix letter A followed by five digits, with the date entered by hand in manuscript.
Obverse lettering THE GOVERNMENT OF THE FALKLAND ISLANDS PROMISES TO PAY THE BEARER ON DEMAND THE SUM OF ONE POUND £1
Reverse description Reverse is essentially plain, with faint bleed-through of the obverse underprint visible on the cream paper stock. Handwritten endorsement inscriptions in brown ink appear on the left portion of the reverse, consistent with period banking practice.
