Reverse description The central and right portions of the reverse carry an intaglio vignette of the Declaration of Philippine Independence on 12 June 1898, set on the balcony of Aguinaldo's Mansion in Kawit, Cavite, with figures raising the Philippine flag amid an assembled crowd below. The left field is occupied by a large ornamental numeral '1' within concentric guilloche rings, and the word 'PISO' appears in bold letterpress at the upper right and lower left. A multicolour wave-pattern guilloche underprint in lilac, olive, and gold covers the entire field.
