| Obverse description | Crowned three-part quartered shield displaying the royal arms of Denmark, Norway, and the Wends and Goths, centrally positioned in the field. The shield is surmounted by an elaborate royal crown. A continuous Latin legend encircles the shield along the rim, identifying King Christian VII with his full royal titulature. The heraldic design is executed in high relief with fine engraving detail consistent with the milled coinage of the period. |
