Reverse description The papal arms of Clement XI displayed on an ornate baroque shield divided per fess: the upper half bearing an eight-pointed star on a hatched field, the lower half displaying the Albani family device of three hills (monti). The shield is surmounted by the papal tiara (triregnum) and flanked by the crossed keys of Saint Peter tied with a cord, all set within elaborate acanthus and cartouche scrollwork that fills the reverse field to the milled border. No legend is present; the composition is entirely heraldic and occupies nearly the full diameter of the coin.
