Reverse description The reverse presents a bold five-line inscription filling the entire field, stating the denomination and monetary designation in German. The numeral I appears prominently at the top center, flanked on either side by a small rosette ornament in the upper field. Below, the words PFENNING, SCHEIDE, and MUNTZ are arranged on successive lines in large block letters, with the date 1726 appearing in the exergue. The design conveys the character of a Scheidemünze (small change currency), here exceptionally struck as a gold pattern.
