Reverse description The coat of arms of Bavaria — a lozengy (fusily) shield of alternating diagonal bands in the traditional Bavarian checky pattern — is depicted centrally within a circular inner border, all set upon the irregular rhombus-shaped flan. The shield is rendered in flat relief typical of hammered pfennig coinage of the early sixteenth century. No legend or additional inscription is present.
