| Reverse description | The Wittelsbach heraldic shield, bearing the distinctive lozengy fusilly pattern of alternating diagonal rows of white and blue lozenges, is displayed upright within a lightly incuse square frame. The flan edges are irregular, consistent with hand-struck hammered production of the early sixteenth century. The shield occupies the majority of the reverse field with no additional legend or border inscription. |
