Obverse description Central field depicts a rampant lion passant, rendered in the crude but vigorous style typical of early 16th-century hammered billon coinage. Above the lion, a letter 'B' surmounted by a small ornament or pellet appears in the upper field, serving as an initial mark referencing the bishop's name. The flan is irregular and slightly clipped, consistent with hand-struck pfennig coinage of the period. No surrounding legend is present, the design filling the available field.
