Obverse description Central field features an elaborate interlaced cypher of the initials 'WA' (for Wenzel Anton, Count of Kaunitz-Rietberg) in baroque script, surmounted by a comital crown with prominent arches and fleurons. The monogram is rendered in high relief against a plain copper field. The coin's rim is encircled by a fine dentilated border. The date 1766 appears divided around the lower portion of the monogram. No peripheral legend is present on this face.

Reverse description Central field displays the large numeral 'I' above the abbreviated denomination 'PFEN' in bold raised lettering, all enclosed within a raised inner circle. A circular legend surrounds the inner circle reading 'I PFEN RITBERGISCHE.LAND.MUNTZ*', denoting this as an official land coinage of Rietberg. The outer rim is defined by a continuous dentilated border. The overall design is simple and utilitarian, typical of minor German territorial copper coinage of the mid-eighteenth century.
