Obverse description A dog passant to the left occupies the lower left portion of the field, rendered in a bold, archaic style characteristic of late medieval Bavarian bracteate-related coinage. Rising above and behind the animal are three stylized flower stems with prominent blossoms, the central stem being the tallest and most elaborately rendered. The design fills the irregularly shaped flan, with no surrounding legend or border. The overall composition is typical of the regional Pfennig coinage struck under the joint rule of the Wittelsbach dukes of Landshut.

Reverse description The reverse displays the Bavarian heraldic shield, bearing the characteristic lozengy pattern of alternating blue and white fusils associated with the Wittelsbach dynasty. The shield is depicted in a Gothic style consistent with late 14th-century Bavarian coinage. The flan is irregular and the strike is weak in places, as is typical for hammered silver Pfennige of this period. No surrounding legend is present. The incuse nature of the design reflects the obverse impression visible on this side of the thin silver flan.
