Obverse description Central field features the heraldic rose of Lippe — a stylized five-petalled flower with radiating stamens — set within a plain inner circle. Surrounding the rose, an annular border of alternating six-pointed stars and small rosettes decorates the field. The outer edge is defined by a fine milled or toothed border. The design is characteristic of the small copper coinage issued under Count Simon August of Lippe-Detmold, with no legend present on this face.
