| Obverse description | Elaborate interlaced cipher of the co-rulers Rudolph Augustus (R) and Anthony Ulrich (A/U), rendered as a combined monogram in the centre of the field, surmounted by a princely crown with five visible points and ornamentation. The date is divided on either side of the crown, with mint-master initials flanking the monogram at left and right in the lower field. The coin is struck on an irregular flan with a characteristic hammered edge. |
