Obverse description Two facing mitred heads depicted side by side within a beaded inner circle, rendered in a schematic Romanesque style typical of late 13th-century bracteate coinage. Each head is surmounted by a stylised mitre with architectural cross-hatching, and the faces are rendered with large dot eyes and simple linear features. A small decorative element, possibly a cross or fleur-de-lis motif, appears between the two mitres at the top, while a similar device separates the heads at the bottom. The overall composition is enclosed within a raised border, and the striking is characteristic of hammered bracteate technique with irregular flan edges.
