| Obverse description | Central field depicts two male workers operating a large screw mint press in dynamic poses, rendered in high relief. The legend KRIEGS-NOTGELD arcs across the upper field, while the issuer inscription BM PFORZHEIM to the left and B.H. MAYER'S HOF-KUNST-PRÄGE-ANSTALT to the right flank the central vignette. Below the press scene, a decorative foliate motif runs along the lower register beneath a horizontal ground line. The overall design is vigorous and illustrative, characteristic of the artistic Notgeld production of the World War I era. |
