Reverse description The reverse displays a quartered or divided heraldic shield incorporating the combined arms of the Archbishopric of Salzburg alongside the personal arms of Paris von Lodron, featuring a lion in one quarter and a chequered or barred device in the other. The date, rendered in Arabic numerals, appears prominently above the shield. Flanking foliate or scroll ornaments frame the composition on either side. The striking is characteristic of the small hammered pfennig coinage produced at the Salzburg Mint during the first half of the seventeenth century.
