Obverse description A stylized panther passant to the left, rendered in bold relief in the primitive Romanesque manner characteristic of 13th-century Austrian bracteate-influenced pfennigs. The creature is depicted with a broad, flame-like body and extended claws, brandishing a sword, all set within a plain inner circle. The flan is irregular and exhibits the typical ragged edge of a hammered medieval denier. No legend or inscription is present.
