| Obverse description | Central cross with splayed arms enclosed within a circular border of stylized foliate or leaf ornaments radiating outward toward the irregular flan edge. The four quadrants formed by the cross arms are each adorned with trefoil or clover-leaf motifs, characteristic of the Austrian Pfennig bracteate-influenced style of the mid-thirteenth century. The composition is rendered in low relief consistent with hammered silver coinage of the period, with no legend or inscription present. |
