Additional information

Otto III von Minden held the bishopric from 1384 to 1398, a period when the Westphalian ecclesiastical lordships were under persistent financial and political pressure from the encroachments of neighboring secular powers. Minden's coinage rights, though ancient, were exercised sporadically, and small silver pfennigs of this type rarely accumulated in hoards large enough to produce consistent survivors.

Stange 46 remains a thinly documented variety, known from a handful of specimens.
