Reverse description Within a raised circular inner ring, a stylized rampant lion facing left, rendered in a highly schematic and compact medieval style consistent with the heraldic arms of the Duchy of Bavaria. The lion's body, limbs, and tail are depicted in simplified low relief, occupying the majority of the inner circle. The surrounding field is plain and the flan edges are irregular, as expected of hammered coinage of the period. No legend is present on this side.
