| Obverse description | Octagonal flan with a continuous pearl border following the edge. A beaded circle frames the central field, within which the numeral '1' appears in bold relief. The circular legend between the pearl border and the beaded circle reads 'RUD. CHILLINGWORTH A.G.' above and 'NÜRNBERG' below, separated by five-pointed star ornaments. The overall design is utilitarian in character, consistent with German Notgeld emergency coinage of the early Weimar period. |
