| Obverse description | Brown letterpress voucher on cream paper with a decorative wavy outer border. The denomination is expressed in three cartouches — two octagonal flanking panels each bearing '1 Pfg.' and a central lozenge with 'EIN PFENNIG' in bold type. Below, the issuing place and date 'Merseburg, den 1. Januar 1916' appear alongside a manuscript signature of the Kommandant. A serially numbered stub is printed vertically at right. A two-line legal text at foot restricts validity to the camp and designated work-detail canteens. |
