Obverse description Central field dominated by the Bavarian lozenge shield (fusilly bendwise argent and azure), rendered in relief within a plain border. The date is divided and placed above the shield, with the numerals flanking the top of the escutcheon. The design is simple and heraldic in character, typical of small copper or billon pfennig coinage of the early eighteenth-century Bavarian mint.
