Obverse description Crowned imperial double-headed eagle displayed in the field, with the numeral '1' denoting the denomination on the eagle's breast shield. The date is divided by the crown at the top of the design, with the year split across either side. The composition and low denomination lend the design a simple, utilitarian character consistent with small billon coinage of the early eighteenth century.
