Obverse description Quartered shield bearing the arms of Görz and Tyrol: the dexter chief quarter displays a six-pointed star (the Görz emblem), and the sinister chief quarter depicts a rampant eagle, both divided by a central vertical bar. The shield is surmounted by a crescent above, with the mint initial 'M' (for Lienz) prominently placed at the base of the shield. The entire design is executed in the late Gothic heraldic style characteristic of Habsburg coinage of the early sixteenth century.
