| Obverse description | Central field features the Austrian arms — a shield bearing three horizontal bars — set within a circular orb or roundel, which is itself placed at the center of a lozenge-shaped (diamond) frame composed of four diagonal lines meeting at the corners. The four quadrants of the lozenge display the date numerals split across the design, with small floral or cross ornaments at the cardinal points of the lozenge.
